Great Backyard Bird Count
Students will explore bird habitats and research how natural and human-caused changes to habitats or climate can impact populations. They will participate in an engineering design challenge to model a bird habitat. They will learn about technology tools for learning about and collecting data about birds, and finally, will participate in a citizen science project, The Great Backyard Bird Count.

In this creative lesson, students use research and observations to plan an ideal area for our school chickens. Students build the needed structures and work together to create the chickens' home.
In this exciting lesson, students will use the engineering design process to devise an alternative method for retrieving the shield of Ares from Hephaestus' trap, as depicted in Chapter 15 of "Percy
Third grade students will apply their knowledge of the significance of bee pollination by designing and creating a Wild Bee Hotel in a collaborative group which will incorporate literacy, mathematical
