Gardening for Our Classroom - Planting Seeds

Lesson Summary: Student will be creating a blueprint for their seed that will be planted in the classroom garden. They will use the paper towels as spacing and layout guides when they plant in the garden.
Lesson Materials: A Variety of seeds, Paper towels, School Glue
Lesson Agenda:
*Team up the gardeners and give 2 paper towels to each pair.
*Let students pick to plants to grow from their planting chart.
*Have students write their name, partner’s name, plant’s name and a word to describe the plants height.
*Tell students they will be planting their seeds in a mini-garden, napkin/paper towel size, and ask them how many plants can grow in that little space.
*Have students figure how many plants they can grow in the size of a single paper towel.
