Exploring and Building Volumes and Surface Areas with Magna-Tiles

In groups, students build models of volumes and surface areas with Magna-Tiles and learn to distinguish and verbalize the difference between these two mathematical concepts. Students then use the 3-dimensional models to create 2-dimensional drawings of the models.
