Energy Efficient Home Challenge Lesson 3 of 4
This is lesson 3 of a 4 lesson unit. Students will apply the engineering design process with a problem scenario focusing on thermal energy efficiency in a home. The unit incorporates collecting climate data for two Arizona counties, researching thermal energy transfer concepts and insulative properties of materials, use and application of infrared imaging and thermometers, engineering in collaborative teams, testing and taking data for prototype design and team presentation of design solutions. The unit materials contain student worksheets, team presentation template, and a google slides presentation with additional support materials.
