Elevators!
This lesson gives students another real life example of Newton's Second Law of Motion. Students will use force diagrams and Newton's Second Law of Motion to find their apparent weight as they accelerate in an elevator. Students will then go to an actual elevator and collect data with their cell phones in order to determine their apparent weight.

In this physics lesson, students carry out a lab activity to determine Hooke's Law and investigate spring constants.
In part 1 of this investigation, groups were challenged to design for speed and collect data to find the fastest car in the class. Using those designs, part 2 will test the mass of a car vs the power
With this introductory lesson on Newton's Laws, student will have the opportunity to understand and explain Newton's 3 laws through a hands-on experience. This is an excellent way to introduce physics
