The Brilliance of Biomimicry
by Laura George
This lesson explores why architects and engineers use cylinders in building structures. Students will be introduced to the concept of biomimicry. They will observe cylinders in plants and compare and contrast them to cylinders in human-made structures. They will build cylindrical structures and test their strength and wind resistance.
