Acceleration Slides
In this hands-on lesson, students explore force and motion. They will plan the construction of a slide for a marble that will show how the unbalanced force of gravity will act on the marble in order for the marble to travel throughout the length of the slide. Students will then analyze how they make the marble slowdown in the middle of the tract but not enough to stop the marble. This is an example of another unbalanced force acting on the marble. The students will then construct and test the design of the slide.
