Solar Energy and Melting Ice

The students will be testing how the sun's energy is able to melt ice on different colors of plates. They will test which color will melt the ice the fastest and calculate the rate. Materials needed are stopwatches, ice cubes per group, 3 different colored paper plates, and calculators.
