No votes have been submitted yet.

The objective of this lesson is for students to use the design process to design their own solar dehydrator. When students are designing their own solar dehydrator, there are several key aspects they will consider to ensure an effective and efficient design such as:
Solar Collector Design
Air Circulation
Temperature Control
Drying Trays
Optimize Energy Efficiency
Documentation and Iteration
Students will need to conduct research to gather design ideas, however their design should be original. Students will design, build and test their dehydrator with apple slices. Students will present their project to a group of younger students, in an instructional format.
