Learning Distance-Time Graphs with Robots

Lesson Summary:
Students code robots to match different distance time graphs. For each graph the teacher stamps their paper and they move on to the next more difficult one.
Materials
Robots that can be coded to move in different ways.
Laptops to code.
Meter sticks are helpful for judging distance accuracy.
Timers are helpful for judging time accuracy.
Agenda:
Students will be able to replicate the movement depicted on a graph by calculating the slopes and separating some graphs into multiple linear equations.
