Iggy Peck Architect Book Activity

Introduce the concept of architecture by asking students what they think an architect does. Discuss the importance of architecture in our lives, and give examples such as buildings, bridges, and parks.
Read the book "Iggy Peck Architect" to the students. Ask them to pay attention to how Iggy solves problems and uses his creativity to build structures.
Divide students into small groups. Provide each group with building materials and a prompt to build a structure. Examples of prompts include "Build a bridge that can hold a toy car," or "Build a tower that is at least 10 inches tall." Encourage students to work together, communicate, and use their creativity to solve the problem.
