Grow It Green In Whiteriver

This lesson is about writing an essay ( narrative/argumentative) using the results of growing seeds indoor. The students will germinate seeds in the greenhouse using seedling trays, organic soil for germinating seeds, tomato seeds (Roma). The goal of these activities is for the students to make observations on the growth of seeds, factors needed to grow, record the growth each day. Take pictures as well. These documentation will be their basis to make their essay (order of time/sequencing) and for the fast learner - they will be encourage to make an argumentative essay about what made some seeds grow faster than the other. Activities are somewhat Science in nature, but the standards to be develop are ELA .
