The central activity involves students working in small groups to plan and produce a short stop motion film. The driving question for the lesson is, "How can we tell a story using only pictures and movement?”. The lesson is designed to last for two or three 45-60 minute sessions. Day 1: Introduction to stop motion, viewing an example video, and planning a story with a storyboard. Day 2: Building LEGO sets and capturing at least 50 photos using the Stop Motion Studio app. Day 3 (Optional): Making final edits, presenting the films to the class, and engaging in group reflection.
