The Math of Earning Money

PD Hours 1.00

Having a job and earning money is enticing to young people who see money as a means to getting things they want. Capitalize on their interest and help them understand income sources, paychecks, paycheck deductions, budgeting, and saving. This session will include hands-on math activities related to earnings and paycheck deductions in addition to calculating how much someone would earn if they were paid hourly, by commission, as a gig worker, and more. You’ll feel confident in helping students make informed choices about their future earning power.

Participants will be eligible for 1 hour of professional development credit.

Due to the interactive nature of the presentation, all participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.
